Safe Drinking Water Project

Project Objectives-The aim of this project was to get clean water in camp Shabeelle, to learn the residents how they could be more hygienic and to create more jobs.
Project Activities-A number of women from camp Shabeelle were selected for the staffing of the water kiosks in camp Shabeelle.
-The selected women were trained in social hygiene.
-Pumps, Water kiosks and Toilets were transported and installed in camp Shabeelle of Garowe District.
-There was a festive opening ceremony and the pumps, water kiosks and toilets started to be used.
Project Achievement -500 IDPs including children, women and disability persons of the project beneficiaries are reached. -15 of women from IDPs in Camp Shabeelle were selected for the staffing of the water kiosks in camp Shabeelle.
-The selected women were trained in social hygiene.
-Pumps, Water kiosks and Toilets were transported to Puntland and installed in camp Shabeelle of Garowe District.
-There was a festive opening ceremony and the pumps, water kiosks and toilets started to be used.
