The training covers safe fish handling, processing, and basic business skills, enabling participants to transition into new livelihood opportunities as climate change continues to affect traditional pastoralist ways of life. In addition to the core training, participants receive fishing boats and fishing nets upon completion to help them start earning immediately. The project also supports market linkages and trains fish-selling women on business management to strengthen the entire value chain. Trained fishermen are organized into fishing crews that form a cooperative for better coordination, safety and collective growth.
