Women in Leadership II was a two-year scholarship programme that strengthened and expanded the impact of the first phase by empowering 30 young women from low-income families in Garowe with market-ready professional skills. All beneficiaries received a fully funded Diploma in Office Management and Secretarial Skills designed to improve their employability, confidence and leadership potential.<\/p>


<\/p>\n

The curriculum combined four semesters of coursework with practical training in the following areas:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Bookkeeping and computerized accounting<\/li>\n
  • File and document management<\/li>\n
  • Communication skills<\/li>\n
  • English language proficiency<\/li>\n
  • Computer literacy and MS Office<\/li>\n
  • Entrepreneurship and Business Management<\/li>\n
  • HRM, CRM and Organizational Psychology<\/li>\n
  • A two-month internship for hands-on experience in real office environments<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    All trainees completed their two-month internships, and five were immediately hired by the organisations where they interned. Three graduates secured job offers right after completing the diploma. Several others continued their education by enrolling in Bachelor\u2019s degree programmes in related fields.<\/p>


    <\/p>\n

    The programme equipped participants with practical office skills and strengthened their confidence and readiness for employment. Women in Leadership II contributed directly to SDG 4, SDG 5 and SDG 8 by promoting access to quality education, advancing gender equality and creating pathways to decent work for vulnerable young women in Puntland.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
