In 2022, Kaalo Nederland, in partnership with Shabelle Skills Center, implemented a Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) program aimed at empowering displaced women with practical, income-generating skills.
The project targeted 60 breadwinner women living in Shabelle IDP Camp in Garowe, many of whom were the sole providers for their families. The primary goal was to support economic empowerment and livelihood improvement by equipping these women with skills to launch and sustain small businesses.
