Founded in 1994, Kaalo Nederland (Stichting Kaalo Nederland – SKN) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering Somali communities through innovative and sustainable development initiatives. Headquartered in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, with a country office in Garowe, Somalia, SKN bridges global expertise and local realities to create lasting impact. We work at the intersection of humanitarian aid and long-term development, supporting vulnerable communities during times of crisis and helping them build resilience for the future. Our programs focus on key sectors such as education, youth skills development, women’s empowerment, livelihood and economic opportunities, climate and environmental protection, and emergency relief.
